Tryout day meant days of manual reconciliation and too much room for error
Running competitive club team tryouts at scale has always been logistically demanding. Hundreds of families arrive across multiple age divisions, each with different team tiers and corresponding price points. Getting players assigned to the right team and billed the right amount required careful coordination between coaching staff and front-desk operations.
Before Bond, the process required staff to manage registrations largely by hand. After tryout day, team assignments had to be cross-checked against invoices, payment totals tallied manually, and errors chased down after the fact, sometimes 2-3 days after the event, when the context had already faded and families had already gone home.
For a program the size of the Cyclones, operating at that volume without real-time visibility meant running blind. One wrong assignment created a billing discrepancy. One discrepancy meant staff time to unwind it. And there was no single dashboard where leadership could see where the program stood.
